At VeryPC, we believe that supporting our team goes beyond providing the right tools and technology. Creating a workplace where people feel supported, understood, and able to talk about their wellbeing is just as important.
That’s why we’re proud to announce that three members of our management team have successfully completed Mental Health First Aid Training with St John Ambulance.
Our newly qualified Mental Health First Aiders are:
Ed Egan, Technology Director
Emma Howe, Finance Manager
Lee Watts, Production Manager
Through the Mental Health First Aid course by St John Ambulance, Ed, Emma, and Lee have developed the knowledge and skills needed to recognise the signs of mental ill-health, offer initial support, and help guide colleagues towards appropriate professional resources if needed.
Mental Health First Aiders play an important role in workplaces by promoting open conversations about wellbeing, reducing stigma around mental health, and providing a supportive first point of contact for anyone who may be struggling.
Training like this helps managers and colleagues recognise early signs of stress, anxiety, or other mental health concerns and respond in a positive and constructive way.
By investing in this training, we’re taking another step toward creating a culture where wellbeing is taken seriously and where everyone knows that support is available when they need it.
Ed, Emma, and Lee will act as approachable contacts within the business for colleagues who may need a listening ear or guidance towards further support. Their training also helps us continue building a workplace culture that prioritises understanding, empathy, and wellbeing across the organisation.
We’re incredibly proud of them for taking on this important role and helping to make VeryPC an even more supportive place to work!
