Although we’re all working hard to push VeryPC forward, the atmosphere in our workplace is one of relaxed, friendly cooperation. It’s not a “heads down, mouth shut” kind of workplace. There’s usually music playing and some lively chat between desks and departments. If we’re going to work together, we need to be able to have a bit of fun together, too right?
The management style here is light-touch. If you stay on top of your workload and hit your targets, you’ll mostly be left alone to get on with it. We’re open and transparent about business targets and performance, with regular team briefings to make sure everyone in the company knows what our big targets are.
When those big targets are hit, everyone’s contribution is acknowledged and we celebrate together. We all go out for a big knees-up a couple of times a year, courtesy of VeryPC’s success.
I started working for the company in 2016. Being a Sheffield lad, the location is perfect for me. My role is resolving customer issues, so anything could be waiting when I turn up in the morning. You never know what you’re going to get!
The best thing is being able to make a difference and I get a buzz out of problem solving. I’m challenged in my role every single day but I still get to enjoy myself at work and have a laugh. The music is alright too!

I’ve been working for VeryPC coming up to five years now and my main responsibilities are invoicing customers, taking invoices from suppliers and helping look after the accounts side of things

We are currently interested in recruiting new teammates for the following positions:
Senior IT Support Technician
Reporting to the Technology Director, you will be part of our service desk team, responsible for the day-to-day logging, diagnosing and resolution of our client’s issues with various hardware platforms and software packages as well as the installation and configuration of new hardware, software, and services.
The role is varied and requires someone who is not only strong on a technical level but also a great communicator, well organised and has a desire to succeed.
The role will require occasional travel to our client’s sites for service and project work as well as some out of hours work from time to time.
Key responsibilities include:
Provide telephone, remote and onsite support to VeryPC service customers
Installation and maintenance of IT solutions and services
Take ownership of issues and projects assigned and manage through to resolution
Follow-up with clients to ensure customer satisfaction
Ensure all service work is logged in company ticketing system
Monitor, maintain client identifying improvements to internal and client systems
Create and maintain documentation for customers, internal systems as well as following standard processes
Work with third parties to resolve issues with clients’ systems and software
Identify and Implement scripting and automation to improve customer experience where possible
