Meet Adam and Wayne, the Leaders Behind Your Warranty Support

03 Sep 2026 Meet The Team

Leading the team are Adam Glover, our Product and Warranty Support Manager, and Wayne Birchenough, our Product Support and Warranty Supervisor. Between them, they’ve clocked up more than 30 years at VeryPC, and they’ve helped hundreds of schools and businesses get faulty hardware diagnosed, repaired, and back in action.

They man our Warranty Support Desk, which means they’re often the first people you’ll speak to when a device plays up. From remote diagnosis and repairs to arranging collections and onsite engineer visits, Adam and Wayne make sure issues get fixed properly, not just quickly.

We sat down with both of them to find out more about their time at VeryPC, what keeps them here, and what they get up to when they’re not fixing computers.

Adam Glover, Product and Warranty Support Manager

Adam joined VeryPC almost 15 years ago as an IT Support Technician. Today he leads our warranty support operation, keeping repairs moving and customers informed.

Q: How long have you been with VeryPC, and what was your very first role when you joined?

A: Almost 15 years now. I started as an IT Support Technician.

Q: What does a typical day look like for you?

A: Lots of tasks, tickets, and repairs, but no two days are the same.

Q: What’s your favourite memory from your time at VeryPC?

A: Doing an install for a risk advisory firm in London. We installed BroadLeaf PCs under custom desks, and they had stainless steel customised front panels. They looked amazing. As a treat, we got to stay in a Hilton with a rooftop bar because the customer wanted us there for an extra day.

Q: What does working for VeryPC mean to you? What do you enjoy most about working here?

A: Family. I love the people here and the whole company ethos. What I enjoy most is the problem solving and getting results for others.

Q: What’s the best thing or place you’ve crossed off your bucket list over the years?

A: I don’t have a bucket list. But I’m sure I’d have ticked a few things off over the last 15 years.

Q: Can you tell us something interesting about you that people at VeryPC may not know?

A: I own two lovely little chickens that bring me delightful little eggs every summer.

Q: If you could only take three items with you to a desert island, what would they be and why?

A: A large knife that can cut trees and food, a cooking pot for cleaning water and cooking, and fishing equipment.

Q: What do you enjoy doing in your spare time? What does your perfect weekend look like?

A: Playing on the decks, vinyl and digital. Sheffield Wednesday winning and Lewis Hamilton winning.

Q: What would your theme song or walk-on song be?

A: The Thundercats theme song. “Thunder cats are on the move, Thundercats are loose!”

Wayne’s VeryPC story started in August 2010, when he joined as a volunteer for a month. More than 16 years later, he’s still here, supervising product support and keeping our repair workflow running smoothly.

Q: How long have you been with VeryPC, and what was your very first role when you joined?

A: I started as a volunteer for 30 days back in August 2010, and I’ve been here ever since.

Q: What does a typical day look like for you?

A: Solving customer issues, repairing computers, talking to our customers on the phone and by email, and preparing quotes for billable repairs.

Q: What’s your favourite memory from your time at VeryPC?

A: The month and year I joined the VeryPC family was the same time I got married, which makes it a memorable one.

Q: What does working for VeryPC mean to you? What do you enjoy most about working here?

A: Working at VeryPC is like being with family. It’s a friendly environment.

Q: What’s the best thing or place you’ve crossed off your bucket list over the years?

A: Having my children and getting married.

Q: Can you tell us something interesting about you that people at VeryPC may not know?

A: I like to build unique custom phone charging stands and lamps, and I turn old consoles into computers.

Q: If you could only take three items with you to a desert island, what would they be and why?

A: My wife, children, and pets, because they are my whole world.

Q: What do you enjoy doing in your spare time? What does your perfect weekend look like?

A: Watching football and spending time with family.

Q: What would your theme song or walk-on song be?

A: Sweet Child O’ Mine by Guns N’ Roses.

The team behind the warranty

Adam and Wayne aren’t just fixing devices. They’re the reason our warranty support works the way it does, with real people on the other end of the phone who know the hardware inside out.

Our warranty plans are built around getting you back up and running with as little disruption as possible:

  • Return to Base Plan. You send it, we fix it, we ship it back. Covers remote diagnosis, labour, parts, and return shipping.
  • Standard Service Plan. We collect, repair, and return, so there’s no shipping to sort on your end.
  • Advanced Exchange Plan. Rapid swap-out cover for when uptime matters most. We ship a replacement and collect the faulty item in one visit.
  • Extended Service Plan. Our highest level of cover, including advance parts dispatch and an onsite engineer visit when needed.

Coverage runs up to 7 years on desktops, up to 5 years on laptops, signage, OPS, and peripherals, and up to 5 years on BSI remanufactured devices. Options vary by product and range, so ask what’s available when you get your quote.

Got a device that needs looking at?

If something’s not working the way it should, Adam, Wayne, and the team are here to help. Log a ticket or give us a call, and we’ll get it sorted.
