CASE STUDY: St Peter’s Church of England Aided School

12 Jun 2026

1. The Brief

St Peter’s Church of England Aided School needed guidance in selecting the right Microsoft 365 licensing. With Microsoft’s options proving complex, they required a clear, cost-effective solution that would support teaching, enhance collaboration, and improve device management across the school.

2. The School

St Peter’s Church of England Aided School is a mixed secondary school for students aged 11 to 16, dedicated to preparing them for fulfilling lives. Recent inspections recognised the school’s achievements, awarding an “Excellent” rating from SIAMS and a “Good” from Ofsted. Both highlighted the school’s strong community spirit and commitment to high-quality education.

3. The Requirement

St Peter’s Church of England Aided School needed help choosing the right Microsoft licensing options. The school found Microsoft’s licensing structure complicated and wasn’t sure which option would fit their needs best.

Our experience with VeryPC has been remarkable. John consistently goes above and beyond to assist us, taking the time to guide us through all the licenses and helping us choose the best options to create a significant impact across the school.

4. Our Solution

After meeting us at the Bett Show, our Software Specialist, John Levis, guided St Peter’s through Microsoft’s licensing options. Following John’s advice, they chose a mix of Microsoft 365 A1 and A3 plans. Microsoft 365 A1 provides essential desktop apps like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams, plus cloud management through Intune for Education. Microsoft 365 A3 adds extra features, including Bookings and Live Events, along with enhanced security, management, and analytics.

5. The Results

With the right software in place, St Peter’s Church of England Aided School has seen noticeable improvements across both teaching and day-today operations. Staff are using Microsoft tools more confidently, and the IT team has better control over device management and security.
