1. The Business

Based in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, Heb Group have provided innovative electrical and mechanical services to customers nationwide for over 100 years. 2. The Requirement

As part of Heb Groups’ cyber insurance requirements, all mobile devices used to access company data were required to be centrally managed and have the relevant technical controls such as encryption and access controls enabled.

3. The Solution

We recommended Heb Group upgrade to Microsoft 365 Premium and use Microsoft Intune for Mobile Device Management (MDM). Devices were configured using Microsoft’s iOS and Android Security Frameworks, with Microsoft Defender deployed to protect against web-based threats and ensure compliance with cyber insurance requirements. Entra Conditional Access policies restricted data access to compliant devices, reducing the risk of unauthorised access. Existing devices were enrolled into MDM, and user training was provided at launch.

When we were presented with a range of complex requirements by our cyber insurance provider, we asked VeryPC to provide advice on potential solutions. The team at VeryPC clearly explained the benefits and managed the implementation to minimise disruption. Additional support was available to users during the rollout, along with a bespoke step-by-step video for users. Thank you.

4. The Result

As a result, Heb Group was able to not only meet but exceed their cyber security requirements, giving them greater visibility and control over their mobile devices, helping reduce the risk of a cyber security incident.
