1. The Brief
Hampton Academies Trust needed a more complete and practical desktop solution for their ICT suites. Their existing HP devices lacked essential accessories, requiring additional purchases and offering no protection against cable tampering.
They were looking for a compact, reliable system that included the necessary mounting options and security features as standard, while creating a clean, organised setup suitable for school environments.
2. The School
As a Trust, Hampton Academies is committed to delivering an excellent education for children and young people at their schools, as well as offering staff unrivalled teaching and professional development opportunities. They ensure that all our pupils and students have access to the highest standards of teaching, resources and opportunities.
3. The Requirement
Tom Clow, the ICT Services Manager for the Trust, was deploying HP computers across all the schools but was dissatisfied with the lack of accessories included in the box. He had to purchase additional mounts and noted there were no shrouds available to protect the cables from tampering. After meeting Colin McCarthy at an ANME Tradeshow, Tom became interested in the Flex Micro. This 1-litre desktop PC met all of his requirements.
The Micro is the ideal solution for the school environment, setting itself apart with a standard VESA mount and shroud. With the dedicated support of our account manager Colin, who consistently delivers prompt quotes and expertly sources the right hardware, we are empowered to create the best learning experiences possible.

4. Our Solution
After returning from the tradeshow, Colin excitedly shared a quote on the Micro with Tom, who was truly impressed! Whether in a desktop or mounted configuration, the included cable shroud can be easily secured with a single screw. With its VESA compatible mounting plate, you can effortlessly attach it to any compatible monitor or display, creating a clean and organised desktop solution for IT suites.
5. The Results
Tom has since replaced 4 ICT Suites with our Micro PCs, all elegantly mounted on the backs of monitors, complete with cable covers to prevent disconnections. The devices present a tidy appearance, and staff are pleased with the transformation brought by the new machines in the suites.
