Season’s Greetings from all the VeryPC family

Well, it’s been a hell of a year and I can’t quite believe it’s that time once again where I’m sat writing this year’s annual Christmas message. I guess the difference is that I’m writing it from the spare bedroom and not the VeryPC office! I won’t dwell too much on the negative aspects of 2020, but as we all know, it’s been a tough one. As the year draws to a close, news of a COVID-19 vaccine is the one thing that’s keeping us going as we approach 2021.

Beatings the odds:

As I’ve previously discussed, the odds were certainly stacked against us this year. Our targets and goals were set and then a global pandemic hit. Luckily though, we managed to weather the storm and have another record breaking Summer doing what we do best.

We started the year off with a bang as we exhibited at the Bett Show for the first time and honestly, I loved it. The team really pulled together to deliver three non-stop days of showcasing all things VeryPC to thousands of visitors. We caught up with existing customers and met a whole load of new faces who are now part of our family too. Welcome!

We also reacted accordingly when it came to the pandemic. Marketing plans were changed, social media content is thrown in the air and our sales team adapted to the changes in focus of the products they’d be selling. A huge increase in demand for laptops, tablets, headsets and webcams etc, also saw us launch our ‘COVID-19 support hub’ over on our website where we put everything you’ll need in one handy place. We managed to get stock of mobile devices despite worldwide shortages and I’m proud that our team played a small part in keeping the country working and learning whilst in lockdown.

Our production and warehouse teams really came together this year too. In a year of social distancing, one-way systems and face coverings they managed to smash records and produce more PCs this Summer than ever before, which let me tell you, is no mean feat. Usually, I roll up my sleeves and do what I can in the warehouse to help out, but maybe I’m more of a hindrance than help?!

This year I want to say a big thank you to our partners. To all the teams at Acer, AMD, ASUS, Epson, Intel, Microsoft, Promethean, SMART and Western Digital thank you for your continued support, we really do appreciate it. As we continue to grow as a business we’re looking forward to developing our partnerships with you and building new ones along the way too.

But of course, we can’t do it without you and the support you give us. If you’re a new customer, then welcome to the family and we look forward to seeing a lot more of you in 2021 and to those that have been with us for a while, thank you again for the continued support.

Holiday closing times:

The VeryPC team are looking forward to cracking open their Christmas shortbread, mince pies and chocolates and putting their feet up over the festive period. So with that mind…

We’ll be closed from Thursday 24th December until Monday 4th January 2021.

Our support team will be operating a reduced service during this period. If you're a Managed Support customer please send an email to helpdesk@very-pc.co.uk or for warranty support, drop us a line on warranty@very-pc.co.uk and you’ll be contacted ASAP.

From myself and all of the VeryPC family (who I’m hoping one day in the not too distant future can all get together and celebrate!), we wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. We’ve all got our fingers crossed it’s going to be a cracking year and I’m looking forward to you being a continued part of the VeryPC journey.

Andy, Managing Director.
