FastHouse needed new workstation desktops for their design team. Their old systems lacked the reliability and speed required for running AutoCAD. The first phase of their DFMA process starts right after receiving architects' drawings. Using hsbcad (software solution for Auto CAD), they create timber frame designs that include a precise bill of materials to minimise waste.
To meet their needs, it was clear that CPU and graphics performance were priorities. The Intel i9 14th generation CPU was recommended for its fast single-core performance without being overly expensive. For graphics, a pro-grade workstation card, the NVIDIA A4000, was suggested. This card complements the CPU well with its large pool of ECC vRAM memory, preventing system crashes and being supported by hsbcad software.
