Here we are, at the end of another hectic year, and blimey, it has come around fast! It seems like only yesterday we were gearing up for a fresh 2017, and before we know it, it’s Christmas time again. So merry Christmas, everybody, I hope you all enjoy a relaxing and fun holiday season.
Thank you for a great year
Before I say anything more, I just want to express my personal gratitude to the amazing VeryPC team, who have put their game faces on like never before to make this, once again, our most successful year ever. You have taken on new challenges in a professional and business-like fashion and worked so hard throughout this, our busiest year yet. We like to think of ourselves as a family here at VeryPC and I have never felt this more than I do right now.
Which leads me onto the other success factor deserving of recognition - our customers of course! You are the extended VeryPC family, spread out across the UK (and in a few cases, the globe). I’m not being sentimental when I say that we cannot do this without you; we literally owe our success to the support you have given our business over the years. If you are a new member of the family, welcome, and if you’ve been with us for a while, thank you for staying with us on our journey.
Holiday closing times
Now for a bit of admin. For top-secret reasons, the VeryPC toy factory and all its elves will be unavailable throughout the Christmas and new-year period.
Our premises will be closed from
Saturday 23rd December 2017 to Monday 1st January 2018 inclusive.
Our support team will operate a reduced service during this period, but if you have an urgent business critical issue, please email firstname.lastname@example.org and we will contact you ASAP. Any orders received will be processed upon our return.
We’ll return on Tuesday 2nd January, refreshed and revitalised, raring to tackle the year ahead.
A bit of festive fun
This Friday, December 15th, we’re celebrating and supporting Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day. Our staff will be donating to wear their favourite festive knitwear and we’re offering a prize for the most creative, original or just plain ridiculous jumper to grace our headquarters on the day.
On Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day, all over the country, thousands of people will be donning their daftest, most wonderful woollies – all for a great cause. Everyone who donates £2 to take part in this year’s silliness will be doing some serious good around the world. Your jumper could be the difference between a hot meal or no meal. It can help bring essential healthcare, education, protection and food to millions of children around the world who are missing out on these basics;
Then, in the evening of the same day, we’re all off to one of the local footy stadiums for our Christmas party. Everyone in the VeryPC team will be there for a well-deserved feast, along with a few light ales and maybe a cheeky sherry or two followed by bustin’ out our disco moves on the dancefloor (please maintain a safe distance of 3 metres at all times).
So, once again, let me wish everyone reading a merry Christmas and a very happy new year!
